Uganda Police has released a picture of a female officer who was battered multiple times by a male protester last week in Kampala.
After riots broke out in Uganda’s capital city, rioters demanding immediate release of Opposition Candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine went on rampage causing havoc, looted shops, smashed cars while other beat up pedestrians deemed regime supporters on the streets.
The furious rioters which security identified as thugs further hunted down vulnerable security personnel.
In a video captured on by a reveler, a man dressed in a red shirt, an official colour of Bobi Wine’s party NUP mercilessly clobbered a female cop.
The rioter who had a hammer chased the helpless cop after she fell on the ground, he hit her multiple times in the back, on the head and shoulders.
The motive was to end her life, this rioter later told Police following his arrest.
The cop identified as ASP Kasule Consilata would later be saved by a fellow officer who shot in air to scare away the hooligan.

Whereas Consilata’s identity has been concealed, Police later released her photo on Tuesday saying her health has improved.
Her boss KMP commander CP Kafeero Moses visited her and said she will undergo another surgery to remove blood clot.
The suspect Emma Sebuliba and two others remain in police custody awaiting to be arraigned in Court.
