Double Q, in partnership with Sinotruk International, has unveiled a new 4-tonne box body truck and a full range of transport solutions aimed at transforming Uganda’s logistics sector.
The launch, held on April 17 at Source of the Nile Hotel in Jinja, introduced a lineup of box body trucks ranging from 4 tonnes to 28 tonnes under the campaign theme “Move More, Earn More.”
According to Double Q Managing Director Lin Yu, the initiative goes beyond vehicle sales to supporting business expansion. He noted that the new range is designed to help Ugandan enterprises scale operations efficiently by providing reliable and cost-effective fleet solutions tailored to different stages of growth.
The highlight of the event was the introduction of the 4-tonne truck, positioned as an entry-level solution for small and medium enterprises, urban delivery services, and first-time fleet owners. The vehicle is built with a focus on affordability, efficiency, and reliability, enabling businesses to begin operations and expand gradually.
Double Q’s Group Head of Marketing, Richard Musani, emphasized that the campaign links transport capacity directly to profitability, arguing that improved efficiency in moving goods translates into increased revenue potential for businesses.
The broader lineup includes trucks in 10T, 15T, 20T, 25T, and 28T categories, targeting businesses with growing and large-scale logistics needs. Company Sales Director Jack Wang said the range positions Double Q as a one-stop provider for transport solutions across all business levels.
The event attracted stakeholders from logistics, construction, and SME sectors, featuring product showcases, customer testimonials, and discussions on cost savings and return on investment.
A representative of Sinotruk, Li Zhiqiang, said the partnership will ensure Ugandan businesses access durable, high-performance trucks, reinforcing efforts to modernize the country’s transport and logistics landscape.
