Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has launched the National Performance and Review Conference at Speke Resort Munyonyo, bringing together top government officials and stakeholders to evaluate Uganda’s development progress.

The three-day conference, running from April 15 to 17, has attracted ministers, Resident District Commissioners (RDCs), district leaders, civil society representatives, and development partners. Discussions are centered on assessing local government performance and tracking the implementation of national priorities, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In her address, Nabbanja stressed the need for accountability and measurable results, noting that the gathering is intended to go beyond policy discussions and focus on real outcomes for citizens.

“This conference is not just about policy and vision, but about performance—ensuring that national plans, budgets, and institutions are delivering measurable outcomes,” she said.

Held under the theme “Coordinated Actions for Accelerated National Socio-Economic Transformation amidst Global Partnership Reform,” the conference aims to strengthen coordination among stakeholders and fast-track service delivery across the country.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to attend as Chief Guest, highlighting the importance of the forum in shaping the country’s development agenda.

Over the course of the conference, participants will identify performance gaps, propose solutions to improve efficiency in public service delivery, and reaffirm government’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive growth.
