Sudhir’s Paradise  Resort on Lake Victoria set to Officially open in November

Paradise Island Resort will be opened in November

The Ruparelia Group has announced that its much-anticipated Paradise Island Resort will officially open in November 2025. Located on a scenic island in Lake Victoria, just 20 minutes by speedboat from Speke Resort Munyonyo, the eco-luxury retreat promises to redefine high-end hospitality in Uganda.

Spread across 24 acres, Paradise Island Resort will feature 38 premium accommodation units, including standard cottages, cliff-hanger cottages with panoramic lake views, deluxe two-bedroom cottages, and three executive villas. Each unit is fitted with top-tier amenities such as Wi-Fi, hot showers, private decks, and outdoor lounges to offer a serene escape in nature without compromising on comfort.

Developed under the guidance of Sheena and the late Rajiv Ruparelia, the resort is a passion project aimed at balancing luxury with sustainability. The eco-conscious design ensures minimal disturbance to the island’s natural ecosystem, home to unique rock formations and a rich variety of birdlife.

Construction began in May 2021 and was overseen by engineer Denis Wamani. By 2023, the first 22 cottages were completed, with the remaining units, landscaping, and conference facilities finalized by 2024.

The resort has already generated buzz among travel and hospitality stakeholders, attracting interest from both local and international tourists. It is expected to become a preferred destination for honeymooners, corporate retreats, and eco-tourism enthusiasts.

Paradise Island Resort not only boosts Uganda’s tourism profile but also aligns with broader national efforts to increase revenue from the hospitality sector. As part of the Ruparelia Group’s portfolio—home to renowned properties like Speke Resort—the resort reinforces the conglomerate’s role in transforming Uganda into a top-tier travel destination in East Africa.

With its strategic location, luxurious offerings, and environmental focus, Paradise Island Resort is poised to be a standout addition to Uganda’s tourism landscape.
