In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the army is grappling with back-to-back tragedies as another chopper crashed Tuesday morning, claiming the lives of two pilots and a local resident.

The mishap occurred in Ntoroko- Karugutu after the helicopter crashed into a home of a local resident.

The somber incident unfolded just three days after the army spy copter crashed in the neighbouring district of Kasese, leaving the community in shock and mourning.

UPDF has confirmed the Tuesday crash with it’s deputy spokesperson Col Deo Akiki telling this website that it was “purely accidental.”

“UPDF AirForce regret to report a Helicopter crash in the general areas of Karugutu- Ntoroko  details of the crash shall be availed later. But what is clear, it is purely accidental,” Col Deo said in a WhatsApp text.
