Kawempe South MP Hon Bashir Kazibwe Mbaziira has thrown a spanner in the works having alleged that his colleagues Allan Ssewanyana and Mohammad Ssegirinya were NRM moles.
He dropped a bombshell on Tuesday morning on twitter as he responded to allegations of clandestinely working for the ruling party which explains his silence on the floor of parliament.
The cyber war erupted after the beleaguered lawmaker expressed discontent that a group of Ugandans has tried to character assassinate him for being in bed with NRM.
“They always try to character-assassinate you so that you lose popularity just as they tried character-assassinating me so that my supporters start thinking I am in bed with the NRM government,” Hon Kazibwe tweeted last night.
In response, a couple of NUP supporters categorically said his silence on the floor of Parliament explains otherwise yet he used to be a vocal journalist.
“Our silence on the floor of parliament, social media and in your constituency character assassinated you, Thank you for burying your political career with silence of the entire first term,” Kaliisa Kabanda replied.
Enoch Katerwe told Kazibwe that his constituents are disappointed and regret wasting their vote. He said Mohammad Ssegirinya is better than Kazibwe although the former is in prison.
Kazibwe responded saying equating him to Ssegirinya is a shame because the latter ate NRM money and failed to deliver.
“The reason why Ssegirinya and his colleague are in jail is because they ate and did not deliver that’s why they won’t leave jail even though what happens don’t be surprised if they spend all their 5 years behind bars. Ask yourself where he got the money he was splashing around,” Kazibwe tweeted.
Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana have been in prison for close to a year on charges of supporting domestic terrorism.
