Popular Kampala businessman Justus Rugyengye has passed on.
Rugyengye who hails from Kabale was pronounced dead on arrival after he was rushed to a clinic in Bweyogerere, a Kampala suburb.
According to a Police report the fuel dealer collapsed while in bed with his side dish in Bweyogerere.
The report alleges that the deceased arrived at his ‘other’ Bweyogerere home at around 3pm on Thursday which has been his daily routine to have lunch and rest before returning to his matrimonial home in Mbalwa, Kyaliwajala.
However, the side dish was shocked to learn that the person she had in bed had fainted.
She called the neighbours who helped to rush her lover to a nearby clinic.
However, doctors at the clinic pronounced him.
The lady went back home.
The couple have one child together.
Relatives and wife of the deceased were informed and immediately asked Police to arrest the lady.
She is currently detained at Kiira Division Police Station.
Whereas relatives want the side dish charged with murder, the deceased’s official wife has objected saying a postmortem will determine what killed her husband.
The family is currently discussing burial arrangements.
Rugyengye worked in Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) where he amassed a lot of wealth before he resigned to venture into private business.
