After the shutdown of the tourism and other hospitality related businesses in Uganda and the rest of the world due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many businesses were left in limbo.
Worst hit was the travel industry, with both local and international travels completely grounding to a halt.
However, with Uganda’s successful record in containing the pandemic and with strict adherence to the standard operating procedures set by the Ministry of Health, Breathtaking Uganda, Uganda’s most successful domestic tourism promotion privately owned company has once again come out emphatically to lead the way in re-igniting the domestic tourism flame.
This will officially kick off when the new Permanent Secretary Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities Mrs. Doreen Katusiime flags off the travel enthusiasts for a trip to Murchison National Park this Friday 3rd 2021 at Media Centre
The group started in 2018 have lined up several exciting trips for Ugandans to embark on and enjoy their country. Already, 27-29th August saw the group successfully take a trip to Sipi falls in Kapchorwa with over 25 Ugandan travel freaks. The three-day trip had them engage in activities such as zip lining at Griffin Falls, campfire, hiking and immersing in the different Sipi falls and abseiling among other activities.
From 3-5th September the group has partnered with Uganda Wildlife Authority and Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities for a breathtaking experience to the Murchison Falls National Park. The detailed itinerary they will be following under strict observance of the SOPs will include a visit to Kabalega Resort in Masindi, top of the Murchison falls experience as well as undertaking the Sir Samuel Baker trail, game drive in the northern bank for an experience with lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas and many other wild species, plus campfire at the Kabalega Resorts every evening. All this is being offered at a discounted cost of 570,000UGX per person.

Soon after Murchison falls trip, the group shall be headed to Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda’s most pristine savannah park from 1st to 3rd October and this experience will cost only 650,000= all inclusive(transport, activities such as wild game drives, a visit to Lorikol cultural village, all meals, accommodation and a visit to Aruu falls).
In November the adventure goes to explore the legendary Lake Mburo National Park. December will be time to celebrate Christmas in the wilderness with various packages arranged from Breathtaking Uganda. These will include excursions to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Lake Mburo, Murchison falls NP as well Fort Portal and Kalangala islands.
