Human Rights lawyer and defender Nicholas Opiyo has been arrested by plain-clothed security operatives on Tuesday afternoon.
He has been whisked to unknown destination. It still remains unknown what his crimes are.
He was picked from a Lamaro restaurant located in Kamwokya, handcuffed and taken away, the owner of the restaurant confirmed.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga was not available for a comment.
