Basajja Mivule, a strong supporter of opposition leader Hon Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi will meet President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni later today (Monday) at State House Entebbe, this website has learnt.

The subject of the discussion remains unknown but sources say, Mivule will defect from National Unity Platform (NUP) and swear his allegiance to Museveni.

Mivule, one of the popular opposition spin masters was arrested on July 27, for peddling sectarian talk after accusing the regime of sidelining his tribe- Baganda.

He was picked from Baba TV offices in Kampala where he was hosting a morning show called Fumintiriza.

He posted videos on his social media pages attacking President Museveni and his other government officials.

He was taken to Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) in Kibuli and later SID Kireka where he was detained for two days before he was released.

However, following his release, Mivule changed stance and instead re-directed his venomous statements towards Baganda whom he accused of abandoning him while in detention.

Mivule, further issued stinging rebuke to People Power movement, NUP and its leader Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine for keeping silent while he grappled with security agents.

He wondered why his tribe-mates would abandon him yet he has been fighting for them.

Mivule has since admitted that his arrest has taught him and further opened his eyes that Banyankore (tribe in government) are not as oppressive as he thought considering the treatment they offered him while in custody.

This is developing story..
