Musician Ronald Mayinja has apologized to People Power leader Robert Kyagulanyi for attempting to join the ruling party after being hoodwinked by the regime apologists.
Mayinja was unveiled on Thursday at the People Power headquarters in Kamwokya as the latest signing after many artistes joined the budding party NUP on Wednesday.
Mayinja at some point attempted to form his own party after falling out with NRM after being lured with a new car and some money.
Mayinja was seen begging to have audience with President Yoweri Museveni at Serena Hotel last year at a music concert.
He would later sing anti-NRM song before Museveni which infuriated the Commander in Chief.
Teaming with up fellows musicians Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool and Catherine Kusasira, Mayinja a DP member switched to NRM.
His membership however, didn’t last for long before he broke chains began hunting for a new home.
Mayinja has since joined NUP, as to whether he intends to stand for an elective post it remains unknown.
