In his address to the nation on Sunday after swearing in the new minister for constitutional affairs, the President of Tanzania Dr. John Pombe Magufuli has expressed skepticism about the Coronavirus pandemic.
He says he doubted the laboratory where tests are done so he asked his intelligence to find out whether the public is given correct information or there’s a dirty game being played.
They took the following samples to the laboratory to be tested for Covid 19 and gave them names of human beings. Samples were taken from car oil, jackfruit, pawpaw, quail (a bird), sheep, goat, etc.
After the tests, the following results came out; Car oil (which was given the name Jabir Hamza, 30 years, tested negative) Jackfruit, was given the name Sarah tested positive; Pawpaw sample also tested positive; Quail sample tested positive, Goat sample tested positive while Sheep sample tested negative.
The President has expressed serious skepticism about people he calls “mabeberu” or capitalists.
He says Tanzania is at war with capitalists.
He said although he believes Coronavirus is real, it’s a stronger flu that can indeed kill people, but Tanzanians should not be driven by fear.
They should continue to take precaution but life has to continue. Although there are many people who want him to lockdown, he will never do this. Life has to continue.
He also advised religious leaders to practice what their holy books say and should stop depending on their own understanding.
He said if religious leaders fear to go to churches or mosques, they should leave the doors open for the faithful to go and seek their God to intervene in this crisis.
He is now investigating whether the laboratory machines are faulty, whether the swabs, which he says come from abroad, are compromised, or whether there’s a dirty game going on among scientists responsible to carry out these tests.
He also castigated foreign media that pick on Tanzania instead of focusing on the infections in their countries where COVID-19 has killed tens of thousands of people.
He says Tanzania cannot just copy and paste. They make their own decisions based on what they consider logical.
