A man attached to People’s Government identified as Haruna Kyambadde was rushed to Mengo Hospital on Saturday after he collapsed in Wandegeya Police cell.

According to a source at Wandegeya Police, Kyabande, doctors say he been lacking bloody in his body, reason he collapsed.

He remains admitted at Mengo facility and closely monitored by security since his crime is capital.

Kyambadde was arrested last week by police detective Bruce Amanya at Wandegeya check point enforcing Presidential directives intended to curb the spread of COVID19.

He was found in possession of a fake gun and a teargas canister, prompting police to take him to his house for a search where many other weapons like pangas, cutters and UPDF uniform were recovered.

Kyambadde has a UPDF identification showing he is at a rank of staff sergeant.

He also had stickers belonging to People’s Government, a political establishment led by Col.Kizza Besigye.

The suspect claimed he was heading to give relief to the National Task Force insisting that he should be allowed to proceed to Prime Minister’s office.

Prime Minister Hon Ruhakana Rugunda’s office is in charge of receiving all COVID-19 relief donations.

He is charged with two counts being in possession of Government stores and possession of breaking implements.
