Ugandan Speaker Hon Rebecca Kadaga has unleashed a locally made sanitizer which “kills Coronavirus” instantly.

On March 16, when Uganda was preparing to fight COVID-19, Ms Kadaga introduced a group of scientists to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who were ready to locally produce a medicine that would kill the virus.

Kadaga would later assure legislators that Uganda was on the verge of manufacturing a medicine that kills the virus. And in that regard he said an American scientist Prof. Safraz Njaz had teamed up with a Ugandan biochemist, Mathias Magoola, to produce the product at DEI Group, in Luzira.

Kadaga’s statement however received backlash from the public with majority wondering how her scientist would be inventing a medicine for the new virus.

An association of medical experts warned Kadaga against duping the public.

With the country registering 55 cases as of now, many Ugandans would jokingly wonder when Uganda would produce the medicine after the two weeks elapsed.

But today Wednesday the Speaker took to her social media page, Twitter to unveil the disinfectant.

“On the sanitizer: People just overreacted but here is the sanitizer. I didn’t call it a vaccine but a spray, which kills the virus. It’s on the market,” Kadaga said.
