Col. Edith Nakalema’s has arrested four police officers who are conniving with businessman Abid Alam to evade the law.
Mr Abid was arrested Thursday on allegations of sanctioning crimes against the residents of Kasanda in Mityana District.
Abid appeared before the State House Iron Lady Nakalema who presides over the Anti-Corruption Unit instituted by the President.
Abid whose file contains 27 criminal counts was released on bond and instructed to reappear.
However, Nakalema informed TrumpetNews on Saturday that a number of policemen had been found to be conniving with the businessman as he continues to propagate atrocities against the common man.
Nakalema released a statement detailing the identifies of the rogue cops supporting Mr Abid.

As you may recall on Thursday 9th April, 2020, Mr. Abid Mam, the Managing Director of ALAM GROUP of Companies was arrested following complaints we received through SH-ACU help Lines.
The Unit working with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations immediately commenced investigations into the allegations.
The allegations include; Aggravated torture, Gang rape, and malicious damage to property among others.
In addition to the above allegations, we also received integrity related concerns of mismanagement of case files, conspiracy to defeat justice and professional misconduct against selected police officers.
I consulted the Inspector General of Police who directed for the arrest of these officers. The officers are: Regional CID Officer Wamala, SP. Wanyama Wilber Ostin, DPC Kasanda ASP Owellano Daincl, OC CID Kasanda ASP Beitcra Peter and In charge CID Records Wamala Sgt Azale.
