President Yoweri Museveni has relieved Doris Akol of her job and appointed Mr. John Musinguzi Rujoki the new Commissioner General of Uganda Revenue Authority, with immediate effect.
In a separate appointment, Museveni has also forwarded the details of Dr. Michael Atingo-Ego to Parliament for vetting for the position of Deputy Governor, Bank of Uganda.
Doris Akol has been at the helm of URA since 27 October 2014.
She replaced Allen Kagina, who retired after two consecutive five-year terms at the helm of URA.
