Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde has been brought to City Hall Court on Wednesday afternoon while being supported by two of his lawyers to walk.
The former bush war historical had been bedridden for four days at Kololo Hospital nursing severe leg pain that resulted into swelling.
The swelling was a result of a bullet wound he sustained in 2015 while campaigning for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in Fort Portal town, Western Uganda.
Then, Tumukunde led a special mobilization team of Museveni.
Tumukunde had also been campaigning for his son who sought to represent the youth of Western region in Parliament.
The election turned violent and prompted security to fire bullets and teargas to quell the rowdy supporters.
The army then said Tumukunde had been hit by a rubber bullet.
Recently he developed pain which prompted him to faint while in police custody at Kireka SIU facility.
He is currently battling treason charges having invited Rwanda to support him to remove Museveni’s regime.
He has been sent to Luzira until March 30.
