Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon Jacob Oulanyah has vehemently dismissed with contempt social media reports which suggested that he is “very ill” and in “critical condition” in German Hospital where he was airlifted to early last month.

Speaking to this reporter on Tuesday evening after the Facebook post by Brian Bobly Kinene made rounds on various social media platforms, Mr. Oulanyah responded saying “nonsense.”

“Ugandans see how the Ugandan press is biased, the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon. Jacob Olanya was airlifted under critical conditions in German Hospital but no media is reporting about his life. Ladies and gentlemen take a minute and ask yourself where the deputy speaker of Parliament of Uganda who was last seen on the Presidential walk against corruption in Uganda we all remember his speech at Kololo airstrip,” reads a post authored Mr. Kinene who went ahead to tag more seventeen of his followers.

However, TrumpetNews has since learnt that the message is malicious aiming at damaging the person of the Deputy Speaker who has on several occasions appeared in the public.

Oulanyah presided over plenary on December 10, 2019 unlike what the post suggests that he flew to Germany early the same month.
