A video clip in which an officer of Uganda police and his other colleagues filmed themselves bullying and harassing a couple that was making out in the car has gone viral on internet with a huge section of the members ‘baying for their blood.’
Believed to be a Munyankore or Mukiga, this officer who avoided showing his face, was overheard in the video bullying the woman identified as Akello and a mother of five.
According to the exchange between the lovebirds and the law enforcers, it appear they had been nabbed on one of the highways in Eastern Uganda particularly Jinja.
In the video both Akello and her boyfriend whom she confesses to have been dating for 4 months had undressed and were having sex in the car.
On finding them, the officers on duty, (who are three in number), starting mistreating the man by telling him to walk naked and also face directly into the camera.
As the two policemen were still engaging the man who rejected to reveal his names by saying his father was a known Doctor in Jinja, the third officer crossed to the co-driver’s side and started sexually harassing Akello.
Feeling embarrassed, Akello begged not to be recorded because she was naked and such a video could easily be watched buy her kids.
“Cooperate with us or we shall take this video to the media,” an officer threatened Akello.
However, this police man who spoke only Luganda changed his tone and assured Akello that she would be let off the hook if she “complied.”
At this point the man took his hands and started ransacking Akello thighs before rubbing at the tip of her knicker.
The video which circulated on Monday night has caused uproar with a large section of the public calling upon the police administration to reprimand such disgraced men in uniform.
