Retired Bishop, Rt Rev Cyprian Bamwoze of Busoga Diocese has passed on today Monday morning 11th February 2019 after a long battle with cancer.
Bamwoze breathed his last at the Mulago Cancer Institute where he was admitted. He had been diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and every since, he had been in and out of hospital.
Bishop Bamwoze lost his wife, Late Naome Bamwoze in June 2016.
He became Bishop of Busoga Diocese in 1972 and retired in 1998 being succeeded by Bishop Michael Kyomya.
