Parliament To Hold Public Hearing on Roads Bill

On Wednesday 20th February, the Parliamentary Committee on Physical Infrastructure will listen to views from the public on the Roads Bill, 2018.  

This was indicated in a statement released by Parliament today 11th February 2019.

The Bill seeks to reform and amend the law relating to development, management and maintenance of public roads and access to roads in order to conform to current Government policies, plans and programs.

 The statement partly reads, “The committee is currently scrutinizing the Bill and now invites the public to submit their view on the same”

The Roads Bill was read for the first time on 26th September, 2018 in parliament and referred to the parliamentary committee on physical Infrastructure for scrutiny.

The parliamentary Committee on Physical Infrastructure is currently headed by Hon. Kafeero Robert Ssekitoleko of Nakifuma County, Mukono District
