Mityana Municipality legislator Hon Francis Zaake is expected to return to the country tomorrow Thursday.
The opposition lawmaker has been in India receiving specialised treatment after sustaining injuries in August.
He was allegedly subjected to torture by the army during his arrest.
“I’m coming home onThur11/10/2018. I thank God mild pain in my neck, spine and chest but I lack balance while walking. This is a price that those with dissenting views from the state pay. Our struggle is non violent & we shall maintain that until plebs realize the strength of their Power,” the ailing MP posted on his Twitter account.
He was admitted at Manipal Hospital.
Zaake had been on life support system for over two weeks and the hospital authorities told his family that his blood had foreign ingredients besides external injuries.
He was accompanied by his wife Bridget Namirembe.
Zaake was arrested in August in the Arua by-election violence which resulted into death of Yasin Kawuma a driver of Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi.
Kyagulanyi better known as Bobi Wine had recently been in the U.S also receiving treatment.
Both Zaake and Bobi Wine claim they were injected with unknown substance.
Zaake is in India on police bond.
