Immigration authorities at Entebbe Airport have barred frail Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake from travelling to India to further his treatment.

The officials are seeking a letter from CID/police clearing Zaake who is facing charges.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the recent past wondered how Zaake who was in police custody ended up in hospital

Despite his health condition, Zaake is among the 34 people who were arrested in Arua following the violence that marred the by-election campaign.

He has spent more than a week at Lubaga hospital where he was allegedly dumped by SFC after subjecting him to grave torture.

On Thursday, Zaake’s family decided to take him to India as his health kept on worsening and he was put on life support system.
