Robert Rutehenda, the former Mbarara District Council Mayor has Friday passed on at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala.
A staunch supporter of National Resistance Movement, Rutehenda hails from Nyabuhikye subcounty in Ibanda District.
At the time of his death he was the district party chairman.
