Police has arrested and detained Pius Mugambwa for allegedly killing his sister Elizabeth Nakato a popular trader along Luwum Street in the city center.
Mugambwa and two other ruthless murderers identified as Sunday Nsubuga and Kasim Mpalanyi ended Nakato’s life last month, raped her body to destroy evidence before dumping it at Karenge, Kasangati in Wakiso district.
Mugambwa learned that her sister was selling her three plots of land, he thus pretended to look for buyers on her behalf. On the fateful day he and his accomplices picked the deceased from Namugongo to go and meet buyers.
She would later be hit by a hammer, bled profusely and died.
The killers pounced on her body and gang raped it.
Police say the suspects confessed killing Nakato and raping her body was intended to portray the murder as the recent wave of women murders.
The suspects are currently detained at Kasangati Police having been tipped off by washing way worker who found blood in a Toyota Premio which transported the body of Nakato.
