A three storey building on Sunday collapsed in Buziga, an upscale suburb of Kampala.

Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesman Luke Owoyesigyire, confirmed the tragic incident saying a number of workers were trapped inside and were calling for rescue.

The incident occurred near Munyonyo Road, according to Owoyesigyire.

The police publicist said police was already on ground “trying to establish how many people are trapped inside.”
Excavators were also taken to the scene to dig up the rubble, he added. The cause of the collapse was not immediately established.

This story is being updated, more details coming.
