Kampala Archdiocese  Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga has revealed how unknown people driving a car without a number plate planned to attack him as he led the procession to attend the church mass on Easter Sunday.

This is a day celebrated every year globally as Christians remember the biblical resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Lwanga told the media on Wednesday that the car had pitched camp outside his house in Rubaga, Kampala.

“When the driver realised I saw him he drove off at a terrific speed. What came into my mind was his motive was to crash me if he got the chance,” said Lwanga, adding since then him and the people he stays with live in total fear.

He however, declined guards if government offered him some, “my security comes from God.”

The top cleric has lately attacked security urgencies for feeding the President with wrong information about him that he plots to topple his 30 year rule.

His revelation comes against a scary incident which occurred on same day Easter Sunday when a man identified as Herbert Kaddu holding a stick wanted to attack Namirembe Bishop Wilberforce Luwalira.

The attack was however foiled by Police and believers who saved the bishop.

He has since asked to meet the the attacker Kaddu who on Wednesday was sent to Luzira by Court.

Lwanga on Monday talked to President Yoweri Museveni on phone on the alleged espionage in the Catholic church.
