Police file into investigation of senior police officers accused of extorting $400000 from three Korean nationals has disappeared from Katwe Police Station.
These Asians who include Ha Dongsub, Park Seunghoon and Jang Seungkwon, were detained at Katwe police pending repatriation until their business partner, a city lawyer Paul Wanyoto secured their bond.
Reports indicate that officers led by Kampala South Metropolitan- Regional Police Commander (RPC) Siraje Bakaleke later intercepted the Koreans at Acacia Mall in Kamwokya and extorted shs 1.4 billion.
Some of the police officers cited in the alleged scheme have since been detained by Flying Squad Unit at Nalufenya.

Our source at Katwe Police Station told this website that the file included among other a search certificate issued after police raided the Koreans’ Hotel and recovered documents, business cards, a computer hard disk and syringes containing substances.
“All these have since disappeared,” a source at Katwe said.
Earlier, police had said it would verify the substances with laboratory tests.
TrumpetNews has further learnt that top officials have since connived with the Koreans to evade justice after city lawyer and their business partner Paul Wanyoto exposed them as Gold Smugglers.
“These top officials are finding ways of sneaking them out of the country.”
When reached, the DPC Katwe police Farantine Lwamusaayi told this website he has limited information before referring us to Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) spokesman Luke Oweyesigire.
Just like Lwamusaayi, Luke lacks knowledge on the whereabouts of these ‘investors’: “I don’t know if they are still around or were taken back to their country,” he said when contacted on Monday.
The Commander of Flying Squad which carried the operation Hebert Muhangi said the matter being handled by Professional Standards Unit (PSU).
