A man who attacked Chief Justice Bart Katureebe’s residence in Nakasero an upscale Kampala suburb has been admitted at Mulago Hospital.
Police confirmed he was shot at night by the guards after attempts to stop him were futile.
Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima told journalists at a weekly news conference held at Central Police Station (CPS) that he is suspected to have “jumped into the compound.”
“He simply sped off and officers shot at him, injuring him in the leg. He was rushed to Mulago National Referral Hospital for medical attention,” Kayima added.
“He has so far refused to utter any words to the officers. We are monitoring him. It is not the first time the home of the Hon. Chief Justice is under attack.”
