Fiery former UPDF commander Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu has lost FDC elections in which he sought a reelection as FDC president.

Muntu lost to his rival Patrick Amuriat Oboi who was supported by FDC ‘godfater’ Col Kizza Besigye.

In fact political pundits say that Muntu competed with Besigye.

The powerful opposition leader openly campaigned for Amuriat in equally all his campaigns under the guise of rallying masses to protest age limit removal.

According to results obtained by this website, Muntu garnered 567 while Amuriat 706.

Muntu had earlier said he would concede defeat if he loses. He asked Besigye to also do the same in case he wins.

TrumpetNews will bring you more details.
