Breaking; Richard Byarugaba confirmed at NSSF as Deputy, Geraldine Ssali fired

Richard Byarugaba, NSSF's Managing Director

Richard Byarugaba, the National Social Security Fund’s Managing Director has been given another 5 years at the helm of the fund.

Patrick Ayota, the fund’s Chief Finance Officer has been appointed in the position of Deputy Managing Director.

Geraldine Ssali, the former Deputy Managing Director’s fate is now sealed with the directive from the Minister of Finance on the top three positions including that of Corporation Secretary where Richard Wejuli Wabwire is also confirmed for re-appointment.

Last week, the NSSF board recommended the dismissal of Ssali and approved the re-appointment of Byarugaba and Wabwire. In the days that followed, Ssali took to the media citing witch-hunt by Byarugaba and the board as the reason for her dismissal.

Below is the letter released this afternoon by NSSF’s Head of Marketing and  Communications about Finance Minister Matia Kasaijja’s decisions about the top positions at the fund.
