Supporters of independent candidate Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine have stormed Kira Road police Station demanding for immediate release of their leader.

The self styled ghetto president was arrested from Kasangati grounds where he was planning to address the last rally.

He was briefly detained at Kasangati police before being transferred.

The reason of his arrest remains unknown.

Political heavyweights including President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his adversary Col Kizza Besigye will today traverse the constituency canvassing support for their candidates.

Police hasn’t spoken out on Bobi Wine’s arrest but this website understands that it is preventive arrest.

Bobi Wine has increasingly become a threat to both the FDC and NRM candidates

Today (Tuesday) is the last day of campaigns as voters wait for 29th June (Thursday) to cast their vote.

Kyadondo East constituency has over the years been known as FDC stronghold until Bobi Wine joined the race giving Apollo Katinti and bloody nose.

This website will bring you more updates.
