Hassan Mutuhe, former Red Pepper features writer has died on Thursday morning in the Kisasi a Kampala suburb.
He succumbed to rectal cancer which he has been battling for a long time at Mulago Cancer Institute before he was discharged.
According to relatives, Hassan will be buried tomorrow in his native home in Kabale.
The body has been taken to Case Clinic for treatment.
He has left a 6 month old baby and a wife.
A Makerere university graduate he left Red Pepper in 2012 and went to Rwanda for greener pastures.
Though not so much is known about his career in Rwanda, Hassan was one of the best writers.
It is said that his mother also lost the battle to same disease last year.
