Not so long ago, TrumpetNews reported how former Moroto County- Alebtong district, Benson Obua Ogwal had bitterly quit UPC party and had vowed to contest for East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) as an independent candidate.
This website further reported how Benson accused the current UPC leadership led by Hon Jimmy Akena of ring fencing the current EALA position to incumbent Hon Chris Opoka.
Contesting as independent candidate is a breach of UPC constitution and therefore Benson ceases to be a party member.
Benson however, dismissed our story as a hoax that was being peddled by his opponents.
