President Yoweri Museveni will make another national address on Wednesday at State House Nakasero, his press secretary has tweeted.
Lindah Nabusayi said on Tuesday that the President will talk about “issues of national importance.”
“President Museveni will address the Nation tomorrow July 27, 2022 at 8pm, from Nakasero State Lodge issues of national importance. The address will be broadcast live from all TVs and Radios,” she said.
Museveni addressed Ugandans a week ago on the high commodity prices especially fuel, however, Ugandans were left disappointed when he didn’t offer a solution to the crisis.
A few days later, security issued a warning to the public to ignore calls from anonymous individuals to join street protests against the high cost of living.
On Monday, protests broke out in Kampala and Jinja over the same matter. Police and other security services queried the riots.
It remains unknown whether Museveni will address the matter on the protests or he will offer a solution on the ever increasing fuel rates.
