Philippa Musimenta has been confirmed dead following a car crash that occurred on Wednesday evening at Kira Road Police Traffic Lights.
Musimenta succumbed to multiple injuries she sustained after a heavy cargo trailer registration number UAA 497L, Ford, Maroon in colour lost control and rammed into other vehicles and motorcycles that had been stopped at the traffic lights.
The accident happened at around 5pm and involved eight motor vehicles and two motorbikes.
The trailer failed to brake and smashed all the cars that had stopped at the traffic lights. 29 people were injured in the process, 16 had been rushed to Mulago Hospital having been severely wounded.
Musimenta, a graduate from Ndeje University will be laid to rest tomorrow at her native home in Kiruhura District.
At the time of the accident, Musimenta was among the occupants of a commuter taxi which was badly damaged beyond repair.
