The family of a political activist is worried about their own after he reportedly went missing after authoring a book critical of President Yoweri Museveni.
Sources have intimated to us that Freddie Makaka Mugerwa whose activism against the government is known in political youth circles recently wrote a book titled, “The Rise of Family Dictatorship In Uganda”
He is a member of the opposition Democratic Party (DP) and a former UYD Makerere university guild contestant
Sources add that Makaka’s family is living in untold fear after the disappeared centre of the relative.
“They fear that the government will go after them over their son’s political activism,” the source reveals.
There are reports that his wife, Jackie Abonwaku was caged over her hubby’s activities.
Makaka is one of the activists who have been giving government unease with the previous protests against unemployment,and presidential age limit.
