SP Baguma Redeployed, Murder Charges Dropped

 Former Kampala Central Division Police Commander, SP Aaron Baguma has resumed duty after a year of being exonerated of murder charges. 


In a redeployment message released on Friday, 18th January 2019, it is indicated that Baguma has been deployed in the private security and fire arms department under the directorate of Operation commanded by AIGP Asuman Mugenyi.

 Baguma had been accused of failing to rescue a one Donah Betty Katushabe, a business woman who had been kidnapped and tortured to death at Pine Car Bond which is owned by tycoon Muhammad Ssebuwufu in October 2015.  Regarding this matter, Baguma and other police officers had been accused of murder, kidnap neglect of duty and damaging the reputation of Police.

After this occurrence, his deployment had been halted by the then IGP Gen Kale Kayihura till today when he was allowed to resume his duties in another department.
