Doctor Kizza Besigye using his medical expertise has established that Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi has a nasal fracture.
The Kyadondo East Legislator is admitted at Lubaga Hospital in Kampala but Besigye recommended that he needs specialised treatment and should therefore be flown abroad for further diagnosis.
“Hon Kyagulanyi’s torturers broke his right nasal bone, among several other injuries that he showed us, when I &colleagues visited him at Lubaga Hospital,” Besigye said after visiting the bedridden MP.
Kyagulanyi, better known as Bobi Wine was in the recent past tortured, detained in a military facility, court- martialled, transferred to Gulu prison before he was granted bail by a civil court.
While in a military detention he was accused of illegally possessing firearms and rounds of ammunition, a charge that was later dropped.
The State slapped fresh charges of treason as Bobi Wine faced a civilian court in Gulu.
All the charges are perceived as trumped-up and politically motivated.
Bobi Wine revealed that he was terribly tortured by SFC soldiers upon his arrest in Arua Hotel. The soldiers who carried batons, guns and iron bars descended on him before he passed out.
His arrest followed an episode of violent actions in Arua. The State accuses Bobi Wine and his group of lawmakers of fuelling an attack on a Presidential convoy.
