Arua By-Election Clashes; Bobi Wine Still Missing

Bobi Wine and Kasiano

Independent Candidate Kassiano Wadri is leading the Arua Municipality by-election with 3611 votes he has so far garnered from 12 polling stations out of a 65.

His closest rival is NRM’s Nusura Tiperu with 2138, according to provisional results.

Wadri didn’t cast his vote as he is incarcerated in Gulu police station following the Monday violence in which one person was shot dead.

The deceased was Bobi Wine’s driver, Wadri’s chief campaigning manager.

Both are incarcerated and accused among others of masterminding an attack on President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s convoy.

Government announced Wadri and his ilk will be produced in Court tomorrow Thursday

TrumpetNews will bring more updates on this story.
