Anselm Kifefe Besigye who is son to popular Oxfam Executive Director Winnie Karangwa Byanyima and FDC Honcho Kizza Besigye is over the moon after getting admitted to study at one of the world’s most prestigious universities-Harvard.
Anselm who is an only child to Winnie Byanyima has always been her mother’s pride, with her taking the dreadlocked teenager nearly everywhere she has worked. Winnie broke the news of her son’s admission to Harvard on her Twitter page. “I am speechless! Anselm has been admitted to Harvard University. Proudest Mum” said Winnie.
Anselm will pick his undergraduate degree from the university that has shaped the destiny of some of the world’s most popular personalities including presidents George Bush,Bill Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, business moguls like Bill Gates.Harvard is famous for pumping out individuals with extra ordinary talents and most of their alumni are renown change makers.
Other famous Ugandans who have been to Harvard University include lawyer Busingye Kabumba, Politician Aggrey Awori, Morrison Rwakakamba and the Stanbic Uganda MD Patrick Mweheirwe. It is not surprising that Anselm Kifefe is brainy seeing that his father is a medical doctor while his mother Winnie is an aeronautical engineer.
