Police Unit, Flying Squad shot and injured Musa Galiwango in the wee hours of Tuesday morning in Kanyampumo in Rwashamire,  Ntungamo district

Galiwango a wanted Masaka fugitive was then and found with star pisto.

According to Flying Squad Commandant Herbert Muhangi, Galiwango was shot three times and is now admitted at Mbarara Hospital.

A week after his colleague was lynched as the runaway duo attempted to rob a resident in Kalungu District.

Galiwango eluded arrest a week ago as they attacked the home of Resty Nakyambadde of Mukoko, Kalungu.

His accomplice Mohammad Kiddawalime was killed by a mob on the fateful day but Galiwango had managed to escape.

Kiddawalime and Galiwango were wanted criminals after they were arrested and taken to cover on accusations of killing over 18 people and injuring several in the Masaka sub region during the infamous “bijambiya” attacks, reports Watchdog.

However the duo escaped from court in Masaka during a press trial session, causing President Museveni to attack the prisons service for negligence. Prisons boss Johnson Byabashaija promised to give sh10 million for anyone who helps to rearrest the two fugitives.
