Latest military intelligence indicate that close to 100 Al-Shabaab militants were killed by Ugandan-AMISOM contingent, when the militant group attacked their Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Bulo-Marer, Lower Shabelle region of Somalia, reports intelligencebriefs.com.
Corresponding reports from Somali officials in Lower Shabelle region confirm that they collected 53 bodies of militants killed in Sunday’s attack AMISOM military base in Bulo Marer.
An additional 36 bodies were collected Monday by UPDF contingent.
This brings the Al-Shabaab militants’ death toll to 89. Also UPDF confirmed to have lost eight soldiers during the intense gunfight.
