Uganda’s finest singer Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool reveals he detests fellow musician Bobi Wine because of his hypocrisy and selfishness particularly in misleading the youth, he avers, he fights for.
Ssali, unleashed a tirade of outbursts in an interview with a local online publication- KasukuLive- saying that Bobi Wine, real names Robert Kyagulanyi rallies youth to negatively perceive the NRM government, the same establishment in which he has amassed wealth.
Kyagulanyi last year, in a shift turn of events contested for Kyadondo East MP seat and won with an insane percentage in a landmark victory.
On independent ticket, Hon Kyagulanyi says he inspires the youth especially from the ghetto where he grew up to raise against the regime that has subjected them to absolute poverty, illiteracy, lack of health care and many more.
But Ssali his renowned arch-rival, dismisses Kyagulanyi’s notion saying that the new political entrant has succeeded under the same government.
“Bobi Wine was one of first youth to build a flat as a home here in Uganda and to drive a very expensive car [Escalade] at the age of 25… even me (Bebe Cool) who grew up at a former minister’s home couldn’t”, Bebe said.
Adding that: “So how can he start telling youth falsehoods about a government under which he managed to get rich. I am so disappointed in him.”
Kyagulanyi who is in U.S at Harvard University is yet to respond to Ssali’s comments.
