On Sunday night Uganda Police confirmed the arrest of a man who allegedly beat singer Moses Sekibogo aka Mowzey Radio into coma before he passed on last week at Case Clinic in Kampala.
Since he was admitted in the ICU, several theories were suggested as having caused the bar fight in Entebbe Club De Bar which authorities shut down and licence revoked following news of Radio’s death.
Eyewitness account has it that Radio was pushed by a bouncer after he picked a quarrel with the bar owner has since been detained.
Police launched man-hunt for the bouncer identied as Troy Wamala.
However it’s been confirmed his real name is Godfrey Wamala and was arrested from Kyengera Town a few kilometres from the city.
According to a brief statement issued by Katwe Police, Wamala was hiding at a friend’s place and he will be transferred to Entebbe Police Station where he committed the offence.
“Katwe Police have arrested the suspected killer of singer Radio Mowzey.
The suspect Wamala Godfrey was found at a friend’s home in Kyengera where he had been hiding.
The suspect is recording a statement at Katwe Police Station and will be transferred to Entebbe Police Station.”
