Buganda Road Court has Tuesday denied five Red Pepper directors and three editors bail.
The presiding judge sent them back to Luzira prison until December 19.
The five directors include Rugyendo Arinaitwe, Richard Tusiime, James Mujuni, Johnson Musinguzi and Patrick Mugumya.
Three incarcerated editors are Ben Byarabaha, Francis Tumusiime and Richard Kintu.
A prosecutor told Court that the State doesn’t know where the accused reside and therefore shouldn’t be granted bail.
However; the police had searched their homes at the time of the arrest last month.
They were arrested after publishing a story alleging that President Yoweri Museveni is plotting to overthrow Rwandan leader Paul Kagame.
Police has since then shutdown the operations of this publication.
