Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) officers together with other security agents have on Thursday evening raided Diners Lounge in Bukoto and shuts down it’s operations after singer Bobi Wine was announced as the main performer of the night.
Bobi Wine real names Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi has lately become a threatening political force in the country having won a Parliamentary seat in July with a landslide victory.
KCCA officers confiscated the music system and all the equipment which were being used to erect a podium.
It remains unclear why security invaded Diners premises.
Also the bar was unveiling a new weekly theme night dubbed Diners Comedy.
We were unable to reach KCCA publicist Peter Kawuju for a comment.
