State Minister for Finance and Investment Evelyn Anite on Thursday revealed that opposition lawmaker Odonga Otto has for quite sometime approached her to broker a deal to meet the President.
Anite made the allegations on the sidelines of Parliament moments after the deputy speaker Hon Jacob Oulanyah suspended the House after MPs turned chaotic.
Before its adjournment, the vocal FDC legislator had asked Oulanyah to suspend Anite and also impose a disciplinary action accusing her of uttering reckless statements which almost cost lives of innocent Ugandans.
Anite recently displayed photos of MPs who allegedly support the age limit bill, but Otto said that an ordinary woman while walking in downtown Kampala survived being lynched as she was mistaken to be that MP displayed by Anite.
Responding to Otto, Anite referred to him as drunkard who has been begging her to reach President Museveni to get financial support.
Otto referred to Anite’s allegations as rubbish.
