Medic sent to Luzira for raping patient in Kampala

City Hall Grade One Magistrate Moses Nabende has charged and remanded Samuel Tumukuratire, a nursing assistant at Najeera Hospital to Luzira prison.

He is accused of raping and impregnating a patient on June 5 after he sedated and had unprotected sexual intercourse with her.

Magistrate Nabende who did not allow him to take a plea, being that his offenses are capital in nature and can only be heard before the  High court.

He was remanded to Luzira until 18th August 2017, for mention of his case.

Prosecution further adds that after 3 months,   the victim realized that she was pregnant yet she had taken a year without having sex because her husband was working overseas by then.

Tumukuratire was arrested and confessed to having raped many of his patients whom he first subjected to a compulsory HIV test.
