The legacy of the late Rajiv Ruparelia continues to inspire community events, with organisers announcing the Rajiv Kampala Hash Memorial Run #2376, scheduled for May 4, 2026, in Kampala.
The run will take place at Kingdom Kampala, starting at 6:00 PM, bringing together members of the hashing community, friends and supporters to celebrate Rajiv’s life in a vibrant and social setting.
Organised under the banner of the Ruparelia Foundation and the Kampala Hash community, the event blends fitness, fun and remembrance — values closely associated with Rajiv’s energetic and outgoing personality.
According to the event poster, the run will feature a well-marked trail, commemorative memorial T-shirts, and the traditional social aspect of hashing often referred to as “amber nectar.”
Participants will contribute a Shs10,000 fee, commonly known in hashing circles as “damage,” to take part in the event.
The run is part of a growing list of activities held in Rajiv’s memory, including recent medical outreach programmes such as the Bukedea eye camp and upcoming prosthetic leg donation drive at Mulago National Referral Hospital.
Organisers say the memorial run is not just about fitness, but about celebrating a life that touched many across business, motorsport and community spaces.
With the theme “Run. Live. Give. Love!”, the event is expected to attract a lively crowd, continuing a legacy that remains active, visible and deeply rooted in community engagement.
